A COUPLE gave a virtual tour of their tiny home on wheels, where they are raising their five children.

The family converted an old school bus, adding a second floor, before travelling around the United States.

They appeared on the YouTube channel to show off their space.

Jeff and Anna spent two and a half years renovating the 2004 84-passenger school bus, which they purchased for £3,000.

The family have lived out of the vehicle for six years, travelling most of the mainland U.S.

They homeschool their children, saying their is "no end in sight" to their unique lifestyle.

Giving the official tour, Jeff explained that they moved the entrance down to give them more space at the front of the bus.

This allowed their kids to sit with them on sofas with seatbelts as they drove.

The benches gave them a view out the front window while providing storage underneath.

They could also convert to a dining room and school setting when parked up.

Jeff explained that they added full-size kitchen counters and locked cupboards since they were cooking so much.

The family-of-seven also has a mid-size fridge to store their fresh produce.

Jeff, who works remotely as a software designer, has a foldable desk at the emergency exit door.

Past his workspace are three of the children's bunks, which featured blackboard walls for them to practice their schoolwork.

The bus' bathroom included a compost toilet and an eight-foot ceramic tile shower.

At the back of the vehicle is the couple's master bedroom, which featured a king-sized bed.

The bed had a lot of storage underneath, including a flap leading to their cat's litterbox.

Tiny Homes FAQs

The tiny house movement began in the USA before gaining popularity in the UK.

What is a tiny home?

Tiny houses are small, fully-equipped living spaces designed to lead a more sustainable, off-grid lifestyle. Although they vary in size and shape, tiny homes tend to be between 15 and 50 square metres in capacity, made of sustainable materials and are easier — and cheaper — to maintain than traditional brick homes.

Are tiny homes legal in the UK?

As long as the tiny house doesn't exceed 19.8m x 6.7m in size, it is defined as a caravan in UK law. Therefore, tiny houses are classed as legal additional living space.

Can you get a mortgage for a tiny home?

The small size and relatively low cost of tiny houses means they’re not generally considered eligible for a mortgage. However, there are plenty of options to take out a loan to fund your dreams of the perfect, moveable home.

A small ladder led to the lofted upstairs, which the couple added for a further £12,000 on top of their £25,000 renovation.

The space consisted of two crawl-sized bedrooms for their children and an area for the kids to watch TV.

It also included windows with screens, allowing a breeze to pass through the bus while they were driving.

The couple added solar panels to the roof of their bus in order to live fully off-grid.

They also used a roof-top storage box to store their children's outdoor toys and bikes.

"Before moving into the bus we were still very close-knit,
we were in a large house but still spent all our time together," Jeff explained.

"Our kids are growing up and learning amazing things across
the country, they’re meeting friends everywhere."
