A MUM has hit back at trolls who say she shouldn’t brag about spending £20,000 on her kids this Christmas, during a cost of living crisis.
Alex Le Tissier, used to struggle to provide for her family and lived on the bread line.
However, after she began posting adult content online, Alex, who is the daughter-in-law of former Southampton footballer Matt Le Tissier, began raking in the cash, and is now able to splash out on gifts for her family.
Over the festive period, Alex is taking her husband and four children to Disneyland Paris, but she has been slammed for bragging about it when many are struggling.
However, Alex has no shame, as she is proud of the way her fortunes have changed since she began adult modelling during the Covid-19 pandemic.
She told the: “I’m so happy I can finally spend a lot of money at Christmas time because we used to be very broke and everything was second-hand.
“I’ve seen so many people complaining about others spending too much money at Christmas but I’ve worked really hard and people are just jealous.
“I’m so proud of myself and I love that I can give my children the life they deserve.”
Sharing advice to any parents that are struggling, the mum urged parents to put money away for Christmas throughout the year.
Alex is spending a whopping £10,000 on her trip to Disney and a a further £10,000 on presents for her family.
However, her footballing father in law will not be receiving a present, after he called Alex a “bad mum” for stripping off to make cash.
Alex revealed that the reason she is treating her kids to so much this Christmas is because of their grandfather Matt will not be present at the celebrations.
She said: ““I feel bad that with my in-laws not being involved in my children’s lives.
“I have to go above and beyond with gifts so they don’t miss out.”
At the other end of the spectrum, another mum has been slammed for spending just £100 on her kids this Christmas.
Mum-of-two Sophie insisted in the video on her TikTok page that the kids don’t need anything else, as she “justified” her festive budget.
How to save money on Christmas shopping
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
“Guess how much I spend? £100 per child,” she said.
“And I’m going to justify myself, not that I have to.
“Number one, I buy a lot of stuff second hand, so for £100 I can get so much stuff for them.
“And secondly, they want for absolutely nothing.
“I make sure they have everything they need throughout the year, so by Christmas it’s just a little treat day.
“It’s not about spending thousands on them, £100 is enough!”
