GAVIN and Stacey star Joanna Page has revealed she suffered burns in an accident on set filming the Christmas special.
The actress said it happened on the final day when she became overwhelmed with emotion at the end of the hugely popular TV comedy.
In an exclusive interview with Fabulous magazine - coming in next weekend’s Sun on Sunday - the 47-year-old said: “On the last day on set, I was thinking ‘pull yourself together’, but I was in such a state I knocked my boiling hot coffee over myself in make-up.
“I had to get the costume department to wash my clothes. It was good, as the shock of being scalded shook me out of it.”
Joanna, who plays Stacey, was in tears in her trailer with an assistant director just minutes before the accident.
The eagerly-awaited finale of the 17-year-old comedy is tipped to be one of the most watched programmes on telly on Christmas Day.

In 2019 it commanded an audience of 11.6million viewers, making it top of the festive TV ratings that year.
In the run-up to this Christmas writers James Corden and Ruth Jones have teased what might happen with their characters Smithy and Nessa who featured in a marriage proposal scene at the cliffhanger end of the last series.
The secrecy surrounding the return of the show was so intense it led to Corden and Jones giving the project a codename ‘Toffee Apple’ for the cast and production team.
They have insisted this is the end of Gavin and Stacey, with no chance of a return in the future.
