Sarah Palmyra took to TikTok to explain exactly how her 90-year-old gran looks so good - and there are a few simple steps she swears by.

Her first rule is to always clean your face before going to bed - it might seem obvious, but it makes all the difference.

You can use any products to do this, but Sarah explained her gran starts this process with an eye makeup remover, followed by a cleansing milk and then a toner.

"My grandma has always believed that rinsing your face with water can actually strip your skin, so instead she uses a toner from Clarins, which she has used for decades," Sarah added.

Her next rule is that anything she applies to her face also gets applied to her neck, chest and hands.

Not only does this trick stop you wasting expensive product, but it keeps wrinkles at bay from not just your face.

But the 90-year-old's best beauty tip is all about how she applies the products.

Her sweep and pinch technique involves gently pinching around the neck and face to boost circulation to those areas.

"[She] always uses light, upwards sweeping motions when she applies her products, but she pinches her neck every single morning to increase blood flow," Sarah explained.

And finally, Sarah said she's never seen her gran leave the house without wearing sunglasses, as protecting her skin from the harsh rays is a must.

Previously, Dr. Sonia Khorana, GP & Dermatology Expert at the UK-based company , shared some of her top tips for keeping wrinkles at bay.

Dr. Khorana said three skincare ingredients should be used regularly alongside sunscreen to maintain young skin.

Retinoids top her list as they help to stimulate collagen production, increase skin cell turnover, and help reduce pores and fine lines.

and beauty products should “always” be applied from thinnest to thickest consistency.

“To get the most benefit out of a regular skin care regimen, you only need to follow a few simple steps: cleanse, treat, moisturize, and protect,” Dr. Khorana said.

She recommended cleansing in the morning to start the day on a “clean slate” as well as in the evening.

Double cleansing isn’t vital unless the skin is oily or you have been wearing heavy makeup.

She warned that overwashing can cause "dryness, sensitivity, and irritation."

Cleansing should be followed with treatments, such as vitamin C serum in the morning and retinoids in the evening.

Why is turmeric good for anti-ageing?

A study published in thesuggests that turmeric and curcumin may help prevent DNA damage and aid in DNA repair.

This is promising news for disease prevention and slowing the ageing process. It also:

Boosts Collagen Production: Collagen is a protein that maintains the skin's elasticity and firmness. As we age, collagen production decreases, leading to wrinkles and sagging skin. Turmeric helps stimulate collagen synthesis, thereby promoting firmer and more youthful skin.

Improves Skin Health: Turmeric has been shown to improve various skin conditions, such as acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties help soothe the skin, reduce redness, and promote a clearer complexion.
