FIZZ the season to be merry – and with these amazing deals on the supermarkets’ bubbles, you can get very merry indeed.
There are some great offers running from now until New Year’s Day, including fizz for under a fiver.
If you’re hosting this New Year’s Eve, lots of supermarkets are offering 25% off wine and sparkling, and sometimes more if you’re buying by the case.
But the biggest savings are always when you’ve got a member card to flash at the checkout – so make sure you’re all signed up before you do your booze run.
For anyone looking to impress with their BYO, there are even some tempting deals on Bollinger champagne to be had.
No matter which supermarket you favour, fizz should be on your list – here are our top picks…
Lidl – fizz for £4.75! –
Just when we thought Lidl couldn’t get any better value, we spot its iconic for just £4.75, as well as the award-winning for just £9.99 (usually £13.99) – only via the Lidl Plus app.
Lidl is also giving shoppers 30% off on its Deluxe wines for every three bottles purchased, with the deal available in-store until January 1, 2025.
Also under a fiver is the Vivacello Sparkling Brut, £4.99 – a fizzy Spanish number full of stone fruit flavours.
Other great-value options include Lidl’s , £6.49, and the Which? Best Value award-winning , £7.49, both very gluggable dry Italian tipples.

Morrisons – 44% off rose champagne! –
If you’re a More Card holder, it’s your lucky day, as you can bag a load of exclusive deals at Morrisons this festive season.
For starters, if you’re a fan of English sparkling, then is the ticket – just £15 down from its usual price of £24.
There’s also 44% off – priced at £22 instead of £39.
But if you are looking for an even lower price point, pick up a bottle or two of , which has £2 off, so is only £8, or the pretty-in-pink – was £12.50, now £10 – bargain!
Deals are all running until January 1, 2025 – jut don’t forget your club member card.
Asda – champagne for £9.99! –
As part of its ‘save a third or more’ across more than 20 sparkling and premium wines, Asda has cut the price of its exclusive , from £18 to just £9.99.
The offer is available until January 1, 2025, or until stocks last – so be quick if you want to stock up on the Which? Great Value award winner.
Low on acid aftertaste, and instead bursting with citrus fruits and smooth vanilla for the perfect balance, this would be a treat with smoked salmon blinis.
Tesco – great deals on Bollinger! –
Go Bolli or go home?
With savings like these, it would almost be rude not to!
Reduced to £43 from £58, that’s a whopping saving of £15 (with your ClubCard) until December 31 on a regular bottle of , or a saving of £8 on the rose version.
Also at Tesco, the store’s own is on sale for just £7, or you can get £11 off (£28 from £39 if you have a Clubcard), and £10 off – £32 down from £42 with your Clubcard – all until December 31.
Co-op – award-winning, great-value champers –
You’ve just missed out on a Co-op members’ promo that saw its award-winning drop to £15 – but never fear, because it’s on promotion to non-members at £20.50 until January 3.
OK, it’s only a saving of £1, but this is still great value, as it’s actually made by champagne connoisseur Piper Heidsieck, which sells for just shy of £40 at Tesco.
So, if Co-op if your go-to, pick one up for your midnight toast.
Sainsbury’s – organic fizz for less –
Some believe quaffing organic fizz is the route to avoiding a hangover (though experience tells me this isn’t always true!).
But with 25% bottles of at Sainsbury’s if you’ve got a Nectar card – down from £12 to £9 until January 1 – it’s worth a try!
