WINTER WARMER

Zizzi reveals Christmas menu with an Italian twist – and it won’t break the bank

Even the bar has had a festive update...

NOTHING says Christmas like pigs in blankets, and pizza and pasta chain Zizzi has put an Italian twist on the classic wrapped pig.

Forget having it with ham or turkey, instead smother it in cheese, garlic and shove on top of their classic dough ball.

Perfection, and possibly a heart attack, in multiple bites. Isn’t that what Christmas is all about?

There’s even a truffle-spiked side order of the festive piggies waiting to be shovelled one by one into your stomach.

And forget bacon, these are wrapped in the Italian prosciutto to make sure they have a Mediterranean feel.

With most of us struggling with the cost of Christmas this year, the chain restaurant has made sure that popping out for a festive bite won’t break the bank.

They’re offering a three-course set menu from just £26.50 until January 5th and the choices are nearly as extensive as their full menu.

It covers off classic dishes like Chorizo Carbonara, Rustica Pure Pepperoni and garlic bread.

Also on offer for the festive season is Beef Short Rib Calzone, a twist on the traditional Beef Wellington some people dive into on Christmas day.

Although the bone in it does make it a bit of a challenge to eat - meaning a knife and fork are required.

But if that doesn’t tickle your festive spirit, how about some deer?

They’re offering a Rustica Venison Pepperoni & Hot Honey.

And to finish off the extravagant meal is a Giant Festive Profiterole.

As the chocolate hits your tongue, the cream inside oozes out, giving a luxurious feel as you round off the meal.

It leaves you feeling like Christmas day has come early, given how full you are from the menu.

But don’t worry, drinks haven’t been left in the dust by Santa’s sleigh. There are plenty of bauble cocktails to suit every palate.

And if you don’t drink, there’s even booze-free mocktails on offer.

Katy Lomax, Brand & Customer Experience Director of Zizzi, says: “This festive season, we’re excited to welcome everyone to Love Christmas with Zizzi.

"Our new menu offers exciting twists on Italian favourites, bringing bold flavours and festive cheer to each table.
