They posted a video on their , titling it: "Christmas Day - nothing but presents".

In the clip, Noel revealed that they were going downstairs at 7.07am to start the lengthy process of everyone opening their presents - although one of the younger kids had snuck into their mum and dad's room at around 5am.

Opening the door to the lounge, the kids looked stunned as they saw the amount of presents Santa had left out for them.

The pair's youngest daughter Heidie headed straight over to try out her new bike, while the older kids found their present pile before getting stuck in with the unwrapping.

From then on it was mayhem - with wrapping paper everywhere and screams of delight as the children saw their presents.

And it seems no expense was spared by Noel and Sue when it came to the presents - of which there were around 300, she previously revealed.

Designer trainers were a popular choice, with Nike and Uggs among the big names, as well as electronics.

Casper, 12, was even seen getting his first-ever phone - another present that caused controversy in the comments section.

Then it was time for Sue and Noel to open their gifts, with the family matriarch going first.

And it seems Noel had a one-stop shop situation with Sue's gifts, as they were all from Joules.

He splashed out on the £59.95 Rushton hoodie and the £59.95 Sammie striped rugby shirt.

While the piece de resistance was the Beckley White Padded Showerproof Jacket with Faux Fur Trim - which set him back a whopping £149.

But his wife's glee over the presents was clear to see, as she thanked him profusely.

Noel was next, as he opened gifts including some designer fragrance and a Guess white polo top.

Despite the family all looking thrilled with their presents in the video, the comments section was almost immediately filled with people accusing the parents of "overkill" when it came to the kids' presents.

"It's sickening the amount of presents this year... ridiculous parenting," one raged.

"Think of others at this time - have a bit more empathy for those that have nothing."

"Totally ridiculous," someone else agreed.

However, others were quick to defend Sue and Noel, with one admitting they were "baffled" by the comments from trolls.

"Each kid got a perfectly normal sized pile of presents each not loads," they added.

Even if they were to get loads and loads so what? You aren’t paying for it?

"The parents are and they earn their money so can spend it on whatever they like!"

"Sue and Noel work so so hard everyday single day and it's so nice seeing them with their children opening their presents on Christmas day," another wrote.
