Bosses at the budget supermarket have said the £79.99 is a copycat for the £699 Echelon ECH-SPORT-S Smart Connect Exercise Bike.

They called it “the perfect addition to your workout routine right in the comfort of your own home”.

“This sleek, compact bike features adjustable resistance to tailor workout regimes,” bosses added. 

“As well as a fully customisable saddle with seven height options and an LCD screen to track speed, calories burned, time, distance and heart rate, all in real time.
