The Trad Rich List where mums making cakes earn as much as Prem Legue footie stars without taking off their slippers
THE TRAD WIFE phenomenon is booming on social media - with mums dressed up to the nines to bake fresh sourdough glamourising the stay-at-home lifestyle.
On TikTok alone there are over 51 million videos using the hashtag, and it seems the trend is only going to get bigger in 2025.
While it seems to romanticise a slower lifestyle where women look after the home and children while their husbands work, in reality, the ones perpetuating the role are raking it in.
National treasure Stacey Solomon was revealed to earn as much as a Premier League football player, while Nara Smith wears thousands of pounds worth of designer dresses while making toothpaste or cereal from scratch.
On social media, it looks like the perfect balance of homelife and glamour, but in reality, it has a dark side.
Culture expert says: "The 'trad wife' trend idealizes a return to traditional gender roles, often portraying women as submissive homemakers.

"While some argue it represents a personal choice, it carries harmful implications by glorifying a past where women’s autonomy was limited.
"This trend often emerges as a backlash against feminism, fuelled by online spaces nostalgic for rigid structures in a rapidly changing world.
"Its rise perpetuates outdated ideas that diminish women’s multifaceted roles in society.
"By romanticising inequality under the guise of empowerment, the trend undermines progress, fostering a narrative that regressive ideals are aspirational rather than reflective of systemic oppression."

Here, with the help of PR expert Nick Ede, we take a closer look at the biggest names in the trad wife game and how much they're earning.
Stacey Solomon
Stacey Solomon's personal net worth is estimated to be a staggering £5 million thanks to her TV and social media success.
PR expert Nick Ede estimates that the star can make £25,000 per social media post thanks to her 'trad wife' content.
While Stacey is often seen doing DIY around the house or arts and crafts with the kids like a typical trad wife, there is something that sets her apart.
Nick says: "Stacey is one of the few who are realistic about the 'trad wife' phenomenon – she's actually more about hacks and supporting her community.
"With her new fly-on-the-wall TV show, we will see that she's actually a very savvy businesswoman who works extremely hard and multitasks both motherhood and a successful career."
Not only is Stacey Solomon making a killing off of social media - her brand deals with Asda, jewellery brand Abbott Lyon, TV shows and haircare brand Rehab Your Hair are set to make the mum-of-five over £1 million this year, putting her in the same category as.
On top of her earnings, Stacey has a £1.2million home in Essex called Pickle Cottage.
She's been spending her cash doing up the mansion she shares with her husband Joe Swash, which boasts an outdoor swimming pool.
Nara Smith
The young mum has been in the public eye for years, meeting her now husband Lucky Smith while walking the catwalk, in a former life as a model.
But she became a household name thanks to TikTok, where she has controversially gone viral for giving her kids unique names and making cooking videos.
The 23-year-old has three children, Rumble Honey Smith, Slim Easy Smith, and Whimsy Lou Smith admitting the monikers are 'a little out there.'
But one thing that constantly catches people's attention is her homemade cooking videos - which show her making cereal for her children from scratch, as well as her own toothpaste and even SPF cream.
Nara has set herself apart from other trad wives by filming her homestead recipes wearing designer dresses worth thousands of pounds.
Turning the kitchen into her own runway, Nara preps dinner wearing a white flower bomber jacket from Selezze London which costs £800 as well as rustling up some cinnamon buns in a Mui Mui gown.
Nick adds: "She is literally the poster girl for a new form of trad wife.
"With her supermodel husband, she has the perfect modern-day trad wife lifestyle - she makes everything from scratch including cheese and makes it look so easy.
"Because of this modern spin on traditional values, she's a multi-millionaire."
It's estimated that Nara is making around £180,000 a month from TikTok views and around £15,000 per sponsored post.
Gemma Bray
Gemma Bray's organic rise to fame is one of the reasons fans keep coming back to her.
Being a new mum, Gemma was struggling to keep up with household chores when she came up with The Organised Mum Method to get ahold of her life once more.
Unlike many trad mums who romanticise the thought of tidying up and being in the kitchen all day, Gemma, a mum of four, wanted to put a stop to it.
Her hacks gained her a large following on social media which then lead to book deals.
Our PR expert says her realistic and candid display of motherhood is what sets her apart.
"She is one of the most accessible trad wives due to her home and lifestyle hacks that are perfect for short-form social media," Nick explains.
"With her books and brand deals, she is well on the way to becoming a millionaire.
"And her hacks are far more realistic than some of the other trad wives who bombard us with perfect lifestyles online."
Her social media posts don't focus on the aesthetic of being a stay-at-home mum, instead showing the reality of family chaos and untidy spaces, leading her to make £15,000 per sponsored post according to Nick.
What is a trad wife?
A trad wife (short for traditional wife) is a woman who chooses to take on an ultra traditional role in marriage, meaning she makes dinner and looks pretty whilst her husband goes to work.
The trend takes inspiration from the idea of a 1950s housewife.
Many 'trad wives' choose to dress in the style of clothing popular in this period (think floral dresses and frumpy cardigans).
Additionally, the values considered important to trad wives are similar to strict Christian values.
Trad wives believed they were not forced into this way of life, and that it was their purpose to be homemakers.
The trend, which has garnered attention on social media platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, glamorises a time gone by with little acknowledgement of the economic challenges facing families and mothers today.
Hannah - Ballerina Farm
Hannah Neeleman has become THE poster woman for the trad wife lifestyle and it's no surprise.
Living on a farm with eight children in a Mormon community in Utah, the mum exhumes all signs of trad wife.
But that hasn't always been the case, when she was young she moved to New York dreaming of becoming a ballet dancer before her now-husband Daniel asked for her hand in marriage.
Just three months after getting hitched, Hannah was pregnant and left her dreams of being a dancer in the past to become a dedicated stay-at-home mum.
The pair now have their own farm, where they sell meat and dairy products, and let their children roam free - driving tractors all day and drinking unpasteurised milk from the cows.
On social media, Hannah can often be seen starting her day by making a fresh loaf of bread and breakfast for her eight children, while she juggles getting them ready for the day.
The children are homeschooled by Hannah, who also works in the farm cleaning up after their cattle.
While it does seem like Hannah is living the traditional lifestyle, she is often slammed online for her unrealistic life.
One Instagram user said: "I would like to know seriously how many housekeepers and nannies you have to help you with the house and the (many) kids. Thanks."
"I really can't watch this video without crying. May God bless your soul," another added on a video of Hannah cooking in the kitchen.
Nick says: "Hannah is now more a tycoon than a trad wife.
"She has built Ballerina Farm into a thriving food and housewares brand, a model for small farming and a showcase for her Mormon faith.
"Her style of trad wife feels quite fake due to the fact that her husband is a multi-millionaire, so she has not had to work hard to get to where she is unlike other trad wife influencers.
"Her unique selling point is all about privilege, rather than promoting positive role models."
Hannah has made headlines for participating in the Mrs World beauty pageant just 12 days after giving birth to her daughter Flora, where she showed off her tiny postpartum body in a blue swimsuit on stage before breastfeeding her newborn backstage.
While many assume she must have childcare help behind the scenes, she and her partner insist they don't and Daniel even admitted in an interview with that Hannah often gets so exhausted by her hectic life she has to stay in bed for a week at a time.
Hannah's net worth is estimated to be around £2 million while social media posts could allow her to bank £30,000 a pop, says Nick.
Mrs Hinch
The Essex-born star made her name on social media as one of the first 'cleanfluencers.'
Sophie Hinchliffe, 34, made millions sharing simple videos of herself cleaning her tiny home back in 2020, allowing her to leave her office job and work online.
Now the mum-of-two has over 4 million followers on Instagram and is raking it in by spraying fabric conditioner on her sofa and posing with her pet alpacas.
"She has embodied a stereotype of the trad wife and she is offering advice that has been around for many years just in a way that’s more easily digested for today's consumers," says Nick.
"Her hacks have made her a multi-millionaire and she's probably the most successful of the trad wives on social media.
"Her hacks have made a total unknown into an empire-building businesswoman."
Nick estimated her sponsored posts rake in £30,000 a go and her brand deals with the likes of Lenor and The Pink Stuff have boosted her net worth to £4 million.
Now Mrs Hinch has switched her two-bed house for a £1.1 million farmhouse as she continues to grow her family.
Alena Kate Pettitt
Alena Pettitt, from Gloucestershire, lives the trad wife lifestyle through and through.
Rather than taking a modern approach to the trend, the 38-year-old has reversed her timeline right back to the 60s.
She runs , a finishing school for women who want to “embrace a feminine, grace-filled, and elegant lifestyle”.
Alena gave up a career in marketing in her twenties, but now claims she’s the ‘CEO’ of her household, and would rather devote her time to her family rather than a boss focused on ‘profit margins’.
Writing on her blog, Alena, who has a son, said: “If my husband wants to ‘pay me’ to stay at home doing the things I need to do to make sure my child and I survive, and all I have to do is lay out one extra plate and make sure his underpants are clean - that’s a trade I’m more than happy with!”
She admitted she does “submit to him the larger details”, but is happy to be ‘rescued’ from life’s tougher situations.
"Too many it may seem her values are totally outdated and a bit patronising, but she has found a niche that’s made her millions," the PR pro says.
"Her style of offering advice isn’t trend led its led by past etiquette and so feels out of touch."
Gwen the Milkmaid
Gwen, from the US, recently announced she was expecting her first baby with her husband.
Now known for her cooking videos in old-fashioned 60s dresses, Gwen's new life is a far cry from who she used to be.
Opening up on social media, Gwen admitted she made an OnlyFans account in 2020, she said that despite making more money than ever, she hated it.
It soon led to Gwen rethinking her life and finding God.
Despite already being with her partner for several years, she decided to stop having sex, saving herself for marriage.
But her apparent 180 turn on life has left some people skeptical about whether she is doing it all for views.
The PR expert says: "She is the most inauthentic of the trad wives.
"It feels that she just wants to be a social media influencer and has been looking for a niche to high jack, rather than actually live and breathe being a trad wife.
"She has amassed a big following and this in turn has made her millions but she doesn’t feel like someone who will carry this on.

"She’ll be piggybacking off the next trend very soon."
According to Nick, Gwen could be turning at least £310,000 per sponsored post on social media.
