RED-FACED RACHEL

Squirter, phallus and todgers….Countdown’s most awkward words EVER will make you giggle like a kid

The TV presenter has often been left red-faced at the letters on the board

THIS WEEK Countdown presenter Rachel Riley was left blushing after an awkward word was spelled out behind her on the board.

During Wednesday’s episode, Rachel, 34, had to spell out “squirter” when it was proposed over the players’ suggestions of “squirt” and “squire”.

Fans of Countdown were quick to comment on the post, one joked: “such filth!”.

But it isn’t the first time that Rachel has been left hot under the collar.

Just last month, she couldn’t contain her laughter as eight-letter word VIBRATOR came up on the show.

And last year Rachel had to deal with a similarly awkward selection of letters.

At the time, the presenter didn’t seem to realise the rude word hidden in the selection of C, L, I, T, E, A, S and D – but later when she looked on Twitter it dawned on her.

Here are some of the most awkward words that have been seen in Countdown history…

1. The Big O left Rachel awkward

In February, Countdown viewers were left in hysterics, after the show’s Susie Dent spelt out a rude word.

The letters the contestants had to work with were MTHIAEDHS.

But naughty Susie was quick to point out that you could spell “s***head” from those words.
