This is everything you need to know about the dance move, and how to do it just as well as your favourite celebrities.
What is twerking?
Twerking is a type of sexy dance move, in which you squat and thrusts your hips.
It can also been referred to as "booty shaking", and the word was derived from merging the terms "twist" and "jerk".
Others think the term comes from the dance saying "work it", while it has been a common move on the bounce scene in New Orleans, USA, for years.
The move became a viral sensation in 2013, after Miley Cyrus performed it on stage at the MTV VMA Music Awards with Robin Thicke.
But it was born in the 90s, with New Orleans' DJ Jubilee first mentioning the word in a song in 1993.
Why are people twerking?
