Amanda Holden and the other Britain’s Got Talent judges headed to Simon Cowell’s house for cheese sandwiches after hearing the news of the London Bridge terror attack
The Fabulous columnist says that following the news of the incident, Simon cancelled the BGT final after party
HAPPY Father’s Day to all of the wonderful dads out there (I know that you love a sneaky read of the magazine when your other half has finished with it!).
I can’t spoil Chris enough today because he has been my rock this past year.
Without him there’s no way I’d have been able to say yes to all the amazing jobs I’ve done, and while I’ve dashed between TV studios, theatres and auditions, sometimes away for nights at a time, he’s been the constant at home for the girls.
I knew very soon after I met Chris 15 years ago that I wanted him to be the father of my babies.
Apart from the fact he was tall and handsome, he had all the qualities to be a great dad.
He’s very funny and one of life’s “glass half full” people.
And he’s proved to be the most perfect dad to our girls.

While I tend to be the disciplinarian, he’s the more relaxed one and has a knack of diffusing a temper tantrum with lots of tickles or a cheeky joke.
Lexi and Hollie love to play rough and tumble games with him.
Quite often I walk into a room and they’re all rolling about on the floor in hysterics!
LOVE TO LONDON
When the news broke about the horrific terrorist attack in London, I was in my BGT dressing room with Simon, Alesha and David.
Simon cancelled the after-party and we headed to his house for cheese sandwiches and tea, all of us shocked.
I'm so proud that since then the old Blitz spirit has prevailed, and Londonders have bravely carried on.
Chris has had very big dad shoes to fill, because I adore my own dad Les so much.
He set the bar really high, and he’s now an equally amazing grandfather.
Lexi and Hollie call him “Ga Ga” because Lexi couldn’t say “grandad” when she was little, and it stuck.
When it comes to celebrity fathers, Simon Cowell is one of the sweetest.
If you’d told me five years ago he’d be a doting dad I’d have laughed, but he’s taken to it like a duck to water.
Seeing him with little Eric, he’s such a natural.
Peter Andre is another of my favourite famous dads.
It can’t be easy for him to straddle two families – his kids with Katie Price, and the two he has with his wife Emily – but he’s managed to make it work and I’ve got a lot of respect for him.
