Security Steve’s best Jeremy Kyle Show moments… from lie detector giggles to sex life confessions
The burly security guard never fails to keep everyone entertained
HE'S known for keeping guests in check and making the viewers at home swoon... and no episode of Jeremy Kyle would be complete without him.
Security Steve has had to cope with all manner of awkward moments on the talk show, but he always manages to deal with them in style.
Even though the popular ITV programme is named after Jeremy Kyle, Steve is the unsung hero of the series.
The fact that he refers to his boss as "Mr Kyle" isn't even enough to stop viewers lusting over his burly physique.
And he's managed to build up a cult following since he first appeared on the show.
From answering VERY awkward questions to dealing with troublesome contestants, here are the best Security Steve moments ever...
When he WRESTLED a guest
When things get heated on The Jeremy Kyle Show, it's always up to Steve to calm things down.
In February, the security guard had to hold back contestant Destiny as she launched at another guest.
The audience grasped as the pair grappled with one another.
Even though the segment featured accusations of drugs and infidelity, viewers were more preoccupied with how the telly worker handled the situation.
One Twitter user remarked: "Shout out to big Steve", another added: "Go on Steve!!"
When he opened up about his sex life
Jezza can never resist the opportunity to embarrass one of his employees.
And he jumped at the chance to give an intimate insight into Steve's bedroom antics
After joking that he "didn't know", women felt pleasure during sex, he asked the security guard: "What's an orgasm?"
Jeremy then added: “Men and women apparently have them. I didn’t know women did, did you?”
Giving a candid look into his own bedroom habits, embarrassed Security Steve added: “Of course I did Mr Kyle. Plenty.”
The studio audience erupted into fits of giggles and wolf whistles following the saucy admission.
When he proved he was a true gent
Jezza viewers were left swooning over Security Steve after he gave an adorable answer to a question about his sex life.
But while dozens of viewers praised his gentlemanly response, the host didn’t seem too impressed.
After two guests admitted they hadn't been intimate in a year, the shocked presenter decided to see what other men in the studio thought about the situation.
He asked Security Steve: “Would you stay with a woman if she didn’t put out for a year?”
The hunky beefcake played a blinder, replying: “Yeah… if you love her.”
Jeremy Kyle fans across the country praised his touching comment, with one tweeting: “And that’s why Steve’s my kind of guy!”
When he showed his softer side
He may look like a manly man, but Security Steve is a real softy at heart.
The burly bouncer proved it as he comforted an elderly guest in January.
Steve marched on stage and gave a cuddle to elderly guest Pam who was visibly shaken by a tragic family story.
The audience chanted his name as the tough guy marched out and shared a tender moment with Pam.
He wrapped his arms around her gave her a big bear hug before disappearing backstage again.
When he grinned during the lie detector results
It's normally rowing guests who get a talking down from Jeremy Kyle, but sometimes Steve finds himself in the crossfire.
Last year, the talk show host was forced to tell off Security Steve for smiling, as a devastated wife demanded a divorce from her cheating husband.
The lie detector results revealed that love rat John, 48, had played away from home more than he was prepared to admit.
However, seconds before Jezza opened the fateful envelope and revealed the truth, Security Steve let out a little grin.
Spotting the corners of Steve's mouth turning, Kyle gave him a whack with his cue card and said: "Stop smiling!"
When he was baffled by Jezza's bonkers behaviour
There's no shortage of bizarre moments on the Jeremy Kyle Show, but this one really took the biscuit.
Viewers cringed as Jezza decided to do an impression of a squirrel having sex.
The security guard was equally disturbed when the presenter shouted: "Steve, what does a squirrel look like on its back?"
And all he could do was look at the presenter in horror and say: "I've no idea."
