Horrified mum wants to ‘shoot’ her friend for calling his baby TINKERBELL…but not everyone agrees
The mum said she couldn't help but feel sorry for the newborn and thought she was being set up for a life of being teased
A HORRIFIED mum has joked how she wants to shoot her friend for calling his baby Tinkerbell but some have hit out at her for criticising the name.
The anonymous woman explained how she couldn't help but feel her friend's new baby was being set up for a life of being teased.
And taking to , she asked if others thought she was being unreasonable for hating the baby name.
She joked: "Am I being unreasonable for wanting to shoot my friend for naming his daughter Tinkerbell?
"I know its none of my business and also shooting people is generally not the way to approach such matters.
"I feel so sorry for the poor kid. She's going to go through torture at school. Not to mention the rest of her life.
"Imagine a high court judge called Tinkerbell."
But other mums on the forum were disgusted with her comments, and told her there was nothing wrong with the name.
One wrote: "That's right, it's none of you business, she is not your daughter."
Another said: "I know a child called Tinkerbell, she's fine and no bullying, other kids think it's cool!"

While one mum added: "I know someone called Tinkerbell. She gets called Tink which is quite cool actually."
But there were some mums who agreed that the name was not appropriate and one even revealed she knew a boy called Dipsy.
She wrote: "That poor child, I think some parents just don't think long term when naming.
"Why didn't they give the child a normal name and just call it Tinkerbell as some weird nickname?
"Although my younger brother was at school with someone named Dipsy, he now has a very high flying job but calls himself a normal/sane name, I think Dave."
