Primark’s new £3 candle is very similar to one by Diptyque… but it’s £42 cheaper

The two products have a very similar fragrance - so which one will you be picking up this autumn?

PRIMARK is selling the perfect candle for autumn - and it'll only set you back £3.

The budget-friendly retailer has launched a Spiced Orange & Cinnamon scent, which is a very similar fragrance to a luxury product by Diptyque costing £45.

While the high-street candle's packaging isn't as eye-catching as the fancy brand's, the homeware item performs similarly.

Both have spicy notes, with the Diptyque option apparently "reminiscent of a Christmas orange, sprinkled with cloves and cinnamon".

Despite the vast difference in price, the wax products also have similar burn times.

While the Primark option can be used for up to 45 hours, the luxury retailer's version lasts up to 60 hours.

It's not the first time Primark has surprised shoppers with its copycat products.

Its £8 perfumes are often compared to Jo Malone's £88 ones.

And it also impressed with its unisex fragrance line Private Collection earlier this year.
