Groom plans a skate-park themed wedding on Don’t Tell The Bride…and even sends his bride down the aisle on a SKATEBOARD
Avid Skater Andy, 26, from Grimsby, first met tattoo fan Bobby-Jayne, 23, online two years ago
A GROOM has taken Don't Tell The Bride to organise a skater themed wedding - and he hope his bride will come down the aisle on a SKATEBOARD.
Andy, 26, from Grimsby, first met Bobby-Jayne, 23, online two years ago but at first Andy thought Bobby was “out- of his league”.
He adds: “I didn’t think I could get a girl like her in a million years.”
After months of persistence, his efforts paid off and the pair started dating.
With a shared love of skating, tattoos and baseball caps, Andy says that he has found his dream woman.
Andy has settled into Bobby’s family life, alongside her two children from a previous relationship, Tilly and Blake.
And for Bobby, family is at the heart of her wedding.
She adds: “I want my mum to see me settled because she’s been battling cancer for 10 years.
“For her to witness me getting married means the world to me.”
So, the stakes couldn’t be higher when it comes to the pair’s special day and Bobby has some very specific hopes for the nuptials - and hopes to feel like "a princess for a day".
She says: “I’d always imagined myself getting married outside, with loads of blossom and my dream wedding dress would be like ‘princess style’.”
But skater boy Andy has something to prove – he wants to show her that he “knows her better than she thinks”.
With three weeks before the couple says "I do" and £14,000 to spend, Andy has quite the task ahead of him.

He wants a skater themed wedding because they both share the passion – and he even wants his bride to arrive on a skateboard.
Andy adds: “Venue wise, I want it to be on the seafront with ramps and I want Bobby to ride in on a skateboard.”
Specifically, he has Cleethorpes Beach near Grimsby in mind as it is where the couple had their first family outing.
Meanwhile, Bobby takes a look at a more conventional venue, alongside her mum Sarah and her bridesmaids Naomi and Courtney.
They visit a beautiful country house complete with stunning, blossom-filled gardens and Bobby is visibly excited at the prospect of getting married there.
In the meantime, Andy seeks permission to get hitched on the beach while his best man meets with Bobby’s mum Sarah - who really wants to make the wedding cake for her daughter.
When it comes to the dress, Bobby has already seen one she is in love one.
She heads to the local bridal shop to request to try on a champagne hued gown she describes as having “leafy lace straps” and being “quite big”.
She tries on her “dream dress” and her mum adds that Bobby has always “had a thing about big dresses”.
On the other side of town, Andy is also on the search for a gown – but they all seem the “same” to him.
He says he wants the dress to be “quite tight on top and fitted around the bottom” and easy to skate in.
The dresses he eventually narrows it down to are plain, simple designs – and not half as “poofy” as the designs liked by Bobby.
He pays £595 for a dress and adds: “Basically, when I was growing up, my nan used to have one of these dolls that used to sit on her toilet roll.
“And, honestly, that was what image I did not want her to come down in.”
Before the big day, Bobby has also agreed to get a permanent reminder of the big day – with a tattoo chosen by Andy that incorporates the date of the wedding.
Andy then hits the shops and spends £2,500 on skate ramps, £710 on suits, £377 on skateboards and black bridesmaid dresses for £180.
He sends the girls for a manicure for Bobby’s hen do – but he only pays for gels and Bobby says she needs them re-done with “extended” acrylics thanks to her bitten down nails.
The bridesmaids then meet up with Andy to try on their dresses – and are not impressed with their chosen “day dresses”.
One of them adds: “It’s the most casual bridesmaid dress I’ve ever seen in my life.
“It makes me wonder ‘what is the theme of the wedding?’.”
Will Andy wow his bride with his simple yet skater themed bash – or will there be tears?
Don’t Tell The Bride airs tonight on E4 at 9pm.
