The Chase team branded ‘worst ever’ after ALL the contestants are knocked out
TONIGHT'S team on The Chase were branded the "worst ever" by unimpressed viewers as not one of them made it through to the final round.
All four contestants were knocked out by Chaser Shaun Wallace, leaving the money pot empty.
When this happens on the show, the team are forced to select one member to return and face the Chaser, with £4,000 each at stake.
This prize fund is then divided equally between them if the plucky contestant can get the better of their experienced opponent.
Tonight the competitors decided that 48-year-old Harshad, a project manager from Milton Keynes, would return to take on the Dark Destroyer.
He notched up an impressive £6,000 in his previous cash builder round, but lost out in question about James Blunt.
Shaun rubbed it in with his rendition of Blunt's classic You're Beautiful - which failed to impress host Bradley Walsh, who declared: "You stay, I'm off!"
On his return, Harshad managed to earn himself 11 steps - which wasn't enough to beat an on-form Shaun.
He was caught with 30 seconds to spare on the clock.

Despite Harshad's valiant effort, viewers blasted the team's performance, with one calling them "quite possibly the worst group ever".
Another tweeted: "Tremendous effort? You kidding. Tremendous fail more like."
Yesterday we told how a contestant left viewers in stitches when she revealed what she intended to spend her winnings on.
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
