Woman asks if she’s the only one not to wash her hands after going to the loo… and other mums are disgusted

WASHING your hands after a visit to the loo is second nature for almost everyone.
But one mum has admitted that she doesn't always turn on the taps after using the toilet.
And other women are disgusted and can't say they can't believe that she would be so unhygienic.
The mum had taken to to explain why she doesn't always wash - and said she sometimes just stands in the bathroom a few seconds longer so people think she is cleaning her hands.
She told the online forum: "I knw this is going to make some people furious, but does everyone, honestly always wash their hands after going to the loo?
"I definitely don't after a wee, and (to my shame) even loiter a couple of seconds extra in other people's bathrooms so they'll think I have.
"The exception is I ALWAYS wash my hands in public toilets - because of the public shame! Tell me I'm not alone."
But it appeared the mum was in the minority with most saying they always wash their hands after the toilet.
One wrote: "I wash my hands after using the loo and every time I come into the house and before I eat. I never get stomach bugs.
"Why don't you? It's absolutely disgusting not to."
Another said: "You've just touched your bum (germs pass through toilet paper) and you don't wash your hands and then go and touch other people and other things and spread germs everywhere. That's disgusting."

Another mum added: "Just because your hands don't look dirty, doesn't mean they're clean! Germs can't be seen with the naked eye."
While one even pointed out: "Can I ask why you don't wash your hands? I mean, if you're loitering anyway, why not do it?
"I wash my hands every single time, without exception."
However, there was one mum who agreed with the original poster (OP) and said she sometimes doesn't bother to wash.
She explained: "I do same OP. Always after a number two but rarely after a one unless it's public toilets so I'm touching stuff other people have.
"I guess at home I know my bathroom is clean and I'm clean and urine is sterile so I don't see the need really to wash my hands after a wee.
"I'll wash them before making food obviously but if I'm just going back to my normal business I don't bother."
