CHASER Jenny Ryan was left gobsmacked on The Chase tonight after a contestant made a VERY embarrassing blunder.
First up on the ITV quiz show was 58-year-old warehouseman Ron, from Blyth, Northumberland.
He told host Bradley Walsh, 57, how he enjoys playing guitar in his local rock band in his spare time, and was keen to win some money to buy his granddaughter Nicole a pony.
In the cash builder round he managed to notch up £2,000, admitting "nerves got the better of him".
Asked which Chaser he'd like to go up against, Ron replied: "It would have to be Anne."
But when The Vixen strutted onto the stage, his disappointment was evident.
When greeted with a "Hello rock-n-roll Ronny" by the Bolton Brainiac, he responded: "Afternoon Anne."
He quickly corrected himself, as the studio audience erupted into fits of giggles.

Bradders quipped: "Easy mistake to make, Ron!" while Jenny told him: "That was a case of one Ron only making two rights."
Viewers were amused by the blunder, with one tweeting: "Did he just call Jenny Anne #thechase that made me chuckle."
Thankfully Ron's nerves settled and he made it back home with his two grand.
He and two of his fellow contestants went on to beat the Chaser in the final round, securing a share of the £12,000 prize pot.
Last month viewers were left stunned after a contestant revealed he has a very famous dad.
In August we told how a former contestant on The Chase revealed some of the show's secrets.
