Bride is devastated after her fiance secretly plans Beauty And The Beast wedding (featuring a yellow dress and an angry mob)
Disney fan Yasmin got more than she bargained for when she demanded a 'fairytale wedding' - her boyfriend in full make-up and a rent-a-mob screeching at her as she ran through the woods in a neon yellow dress
A FAIRYTALE obsessed bride was chased down the aisle by an ANGRY MOB on tonight's Don't Tell The Bride... and she still said I Do.
Self-confessed princess Yasmin gave boyfriend Yiannis Verenakis strict instructions about what she wanted from her big day, and he chose to ignore all of it.
Although she had warned him that she has a terrible temper, he bravely made his own choices about their wedding.
He said: "She has to understand her whole life can't be what she wants.
"With this wedding she is getting the wedding every girl wants, a fairytale wedding
"She has to learn that not all things are going to be straight forward."
Instead Yiannis, who has an adorable baby daughter called Zara with Yasmin, chose to give her the 'ultimate fairytale' wedding rather than the "Katie Price style" meringue dress and castle bash she had dreamed of since childhood.
Taking inspiration from Disney classic Beauty and The Beast, he hired woodland for less than £1,000 and even put a bouncy castle there.
Wearing a Beast costume, he waited patiently at the altar for his bride to be chased to the top of the aisle by a rented "'angry mob'.
But the day before, the tables almost turned when Yasmin's own angry mob - her mum, sister and best friend - saw red as she tried on her bright yellow wedding dress.
Arriving at a discount dress shop, Yasmin's face dropped when she saw a sign in the window proclaiming all wedding dresses were £499 or less.
And inside, things went from bad to worse.
"Look how tacky they are," Yasmin scowled, giving the frocks a once over, unaware that her husband-to-be had forked out the grand sum of £150 for three bridesmaid dresses in there just days before.
"Tomorrow's the big day and I'm scared and stressed," she told the owner.
With the bridal party sat down, Yasmin ventured in to the bowels of the budget boutique to see what frock her fiance had picked for her - and her sobbing echoed through the shop.
"It's disgusting, I'm, not wearing it. Why would he pick that?" she wept.
Walking in to the main area of the shop, her entourage were complimentary - and then they realised that the wedding was Beauty and the Beast themed.
"When you lift it up it reminds me of the princess," her mum soothed.
"I just want a wedding dress mum," Yasmin sobbed.
Things were so bad that Yasmin's sister called gym-obsessed power lifter Yiannis, who was in the woods laying the tables with the finishing touches for the big day - personalised protein shakers for every guest.
"It's got to be that dress, there's a theme," he sighed, already stressed after the heat of the day had made his blue and yellow cake melt.
"She's in tears, it's horrible. If it was white it would have been better," his future sister-in-law pleaded.
However, Yiannis wasn't having it and insisted that she wore the yellow dress... and the £50 tiara and long white gloves he had picked up from a joke shop.
Yiannis had come up with the idea of the wedding as it "incorporated the fairy tale she wants and my dark beast side... she will be amazed."
There weren't only tears about the yellow dress, with the hen party also bringing on the waterworks.
While Yiannis enjoyed two days on the booze in Manchester, Yasmin was "beasted" in the woods by an army trainer and then taken for an afternoon tea at the local greasy spoon.
She sobbed: "Surely he knows who I am, he knows what I like, why has he chosen these activities?
"I'm very disappointed
"I don't want a joke of a wedding I want a wedding not a show.
"He better not mess it up."
However, in true Don't Tell The Bride style, as soon as she set eyes on her other half all was forgiven, even her mum's rantings in the cab to the ceremony that her yellow dress was a "monstrosity".
And for once, it truly can be said that the E4 show gave viewers a Happy Ever After.
