Who is Warren Furman?

Warren Adam Furman was born 3 July 1972 and is best known for his role of Ace on Gladiators from 1996 to 2000.

After leaving school at 16 years old Warren became an apprentice sign maker.

He then joined his fathers roofing business before having a go at modelling and bodybuilding.

In 1996, Warren beat 60 other hopefuls for a place on Gladiators, and Ace was born.

He stayed on the series until 2000 and came back for the revival in 2008.

What did Warren Furman do after Gladiators?

Warren's Gladiator alter-ego was also part of the UK international Gladiators team and went to compete against South Africa in the Springbok Challenge 2000.

He also had a highly publicised relationship with Katie Price - known as Jordan then - in the late 1990s.

Warren told the Daily Mirror he and the former glamour model bonded "because of their working-class backgrounds and determination to make money".

The couple were even engaged.

Warren said: “We travelled the world first class, went for expensive dinners, had big houses and fancy cars.”

Warren has now shunned showbiz since turning to Christianity and becoming an evangelist.

What was Gladiators?

Gladiators was an ITV game show that ran from October 1992 to January 2000,

It had a brief revival on Sky 1 between 2008 and 2009.

The programme saw four contestants, two male and two female, compete in a series of physical events against the show's Gladiators, eventually competing in one final event, with contestants aiming to secure a place in the grand final and be crowned champion.

The show was presented by Ulrika Jonsson.
