Woman who had open heart surgery to remove a 7cm tumour visits the Body Fixers for a makeover to make her feel ‘human’ again

A WOMAN who had open heart surgery to remove a seven centimetre tumour has taken to Body Fixers to try and regain her confidence.
Taking to the show, Kelly explained to the Fixers that she had been through a “scary, traumatic situation” and that it had massively knocked her confidence.
She added: “I used to walk down the road and be like ‘yep, it’s all about me’, but now I don’t know what sort of clothes look good on me, how to wear my hair, how to wear my makeup and I just don’t know how to make myself fun, quirky Kelly again.
Kelly then revealed that she has a large scar down centre of chest left over from open heart surgery she had to remove a seven centimetre tumour.
After going through such a frightening time in her life, she told the Fixers that she wanted to “learn to love” her scar and regain her confidence.
She added: “I should be proud of it [her scar].
“I have a holiday booked in a couple of months to go to Ibiza but at the moment I feel that I’m not as excited as I should be – just purely because of how I look and how I feel in myself.”
The Fixers get to work and Kelly has everything from her hair and make-up done to a much needed bikini wax to make her “Ibiza ready”.
In the salon, April asked Kelly how long it has been since she last had a wax, and Kelly replied that it had been three months.
She joked: “It’s a bit like a Bush Tucker Trial – we just need Ant and Dec right now!”
Freshly waxed, the team then got to work on glamming Kelly up to make her feel confident again.
When it came to the big reveal, Kelly was visibly stunned with her striking new look – which featured beachy blonde waves and striking eye makeup.
She said: “Oh my god, I love it guys, it’s amazing!
“Oh I feel so beautiful and normal and human and Kelly, but different.
“I absolutely love it, I feel like I’m just me again and I’ve missed it for so long.
“Thank you so much.
“I feel like I’m ‘Ibiza ready’ – let’s do it!”
Body Fixers is on E4 on Thursday nights at 9pm.
On the last series, the Body Fixers helped a girl who was desperate for a new look after shaving off her eyebrows.
The show also featured a woman who admitted she was so ashamed of her ingrown hairs she hadn’t been on holiday for TEN years.
