A JEREMY Kyle guest has revealed how he had a bright future in football ahead of him – but chose a life of heroin and drug addiction instead.

Peter, 32, once a talented footballer, has been on drugs since he was 13 and first smoked heroin when he was 16.

His sister Jenny, 36, took to the show to describe how she had found Peter nearly dead on three occasions – and she’d even been pricked by one of his leftover heroin needles.

She said: “He’s been on drugs since I was 15, nearly 20 years now – heroin, crack cocaine, diazepam, anything he can get his hands on.

“When I was pregnant with my daughter, eight months pregnant, I’ve gone to get my coat and I felt like a sharp prick in my stomach.

“So, I’ve looked down and there was a bent needle, he’d used it, stuck in my stomach.”

Being pricked by the needle meant that Jenny needed to be tested for HIV – and she says that Peter's addiction is “destroying” their family.

She added: “It’s always somebody else’s fault… I’m ashamed of him, he’s a dirty smackhead.”

Peter’s girlfriend Joanne, who has been with him for five years and has had to deal with his drug-fuelled episodes, said that she is fed up with Peter and his “lying, cheating and living a double life”.

She added: “I can’t have that in my house any more, I love him but my love is staying in the box until he gets clean.”

Mum Irene added: “I’m ashamed, I’m heartbroken; I’ve never known him not take drugs.”

Jezza then revealed that, at one point in his youth, Peter had been at the Football School of Excellence in Wembley.

He asked: “Is that why you take drugs, because you didn’t make it?

“Heroin instead of a football career?”

Sister Jenny added: “He played at Wembley, he got picked, he had the full world in his feet.”

Peter went on to describe how he had robbed a drug dealer 10 years ago, he added: “I robbed a drug dealer, he found out who I was and he came back and hit me with a knuckle duster and a hammer and left me there."

He is now at risk of losing his legs because of his constant injecting.

Doctor reveals to Jeremy Kyle the shocking state of health of 36-year-old drug addict guest Peter

The shows Dr Rachal, who examined Pete, revealed: “This injecting is damaging the veins in his legs and not allowing the circulation to work as well.

“With regard to his legs, if something doesn’t change they could perhaps get infected and end up being limb threatening.

“Peter has already admitted that he’s surprised that he’s alive today… he is completely aware of the changes he needs to give him a bright future – otherwise he may not have a future.”

Peter burst into tears at the state his life was in and how it seemed impossible to change.

Peter then tried to leave the studio, but as he did so, he was offered three months residential rehab from the show - where he would be detoxed, receive therapy, counselling and everything he needs to get over his addition.

Clearly touched, a teary Peter thanked everyone as he embraced his family members and headed to rehab.

Overcome with emotion mum Irene told Jeremy: ”I can’t thank you enough.”

Also on the today's show was a woman so overcome with emotion at her DNA results that embraced Jeremy.

Earlier this week, we told you how another guest on the Jeremy Kyle Show was accused her 'stalker' ex of trying to sleep with her mum.

Meanwhile another guest was slammed for sleeping with seven men in 11 weeks while 'on a break' from her boyfriend.

The Jeremy Kyle Show is on ITV weekdays at 9.25am.
