These are the sex positions which make us the most nervous… and you might be surprised
Nervousness, according to a study by Superdrug, plays a big part of sex. But, what's making us so nervous in the bedroom? Experimenting with new sexual positions, apparently...
BEING nervous about trying new sexual positions is normal, according to a study by Superdrug Online Doctor.
asked 1,000 people from the US and Europe how they feel about sex – and nervousness, caused by experimenting with new positions, plays a big part of it.
And the scariest sex position to try? Approximately, 56.8% of women and 42.7% of men said that the idea of trying to do the 69 while standing up scared them.
Logically, that would make sense. The scenario would need your partner picking you up and supporting your body weight while giving you oral sex – not an easy task, one can imagine.
Alternatively, 54.5% of women are extremely concerned with the idea of anal sex. Interestingly, 30.5% of men feel exactly the same way.
Other bedroom shenanigans that brings us out in a nervous sweat includes standing up sex – with 16.9% of women worried about this.
The interesting ‘kneeling wheelbarrow’ position made 24.8% of women and 16% of men feel uneasy.
Importantly, experimenting with new sexual positions as a couple or singleton should be fun. It shouldn’t bring you out in a nervous rash – and if it does, best to not push yourself.
Having butterflies in your stomach is one thing (we’ve all been there), being genuinely nervous is another.
