This is the secret trick to the Duchess of Cambridge’s flawless updos… and it only costs pennies
Kate Middleton may have the best hairdressers and fancy products, but one of her most common hairstyles is surprisingly thrifty
THE Duchess of Cambridge is known for her impeccable style and gorgeous hair, but we thought it was simply from having hairdressers that are fit for a princess.
But, upon closer inspection, it seems that she actually uses a very frugal item to keep her updos perfect all day – a hairnet.
Hairnets can be picked up from any bargain beauty store, so anyone wishing to recreate her look doesn’t necessarily need to break the bank.
By pinning her updos in place, the hairnet is then wrapped around the bun to keep it in place, and is nearly invisible unless you’re up close – making it perfect for photos.
The Duchess of Cambridge uses one that’s an identical shade to her deep brunette hair colour, helping to make it barely noticeable.
Unfortunately, the secret to Kate’s flawless blow dries haven’t been revealed yet, but they probably won’t be quite as simple and thrifty.
And while people are under the impression that the humble hairnet may usually be reserved for dinner ladies, it certainly has the royal seal of approval, with even Queen Elizabeth wearing one on a breezy day at the Chelsea Flower Show.
It’s not often that people take style tips from their in laws, but there are probably different rules when your husband’s grandmother is the Queen of England.
Queen Elizabeth also decorated hers with tiny bows, which is a style we would love to see on on the Duchess of Cambridge – perhaps in a few years?
