How Holly Willoughby ditched her trusty LBDs for glam colourful gowns at the NTAs
The This Morning host rocked a black gown at the NTAs for five years running
SHE’S applauded for her glamorous red carpet looks.
And Holly Willoughby, 36, didn’t disappoint as she dazzled in a floaty blue and yellow gown at the 2018 National Television Awards last night, which was held at London’s 02 Arena.
The This Morning presenter’s one-shoulder chiffon dress was created by designer Elisabetta Franchi, and featured a satin waist belt and floor-skimming skirt.
The designer label claims to offer "exclusive and elegant Italian dresses for women with a sophisticated and chic style" - perfect for Holly.
The vibrant frock is a new move for Holly who, for five years, rocked up to the glitzy bash in demure black gowns.
In 2010, Holly wowed in a figure-hugging black velvet gown, which featured capped sleeves and a bust low-cut neckline. She accessorised the vampy outfit with a matching clutch bag.
The following year, the TV favourite showcased her blossoming baby bump in another black dress, which featured a bejewelled silver waistband.
Holly stepped out in another LBD for the 2012 ceremony. This sophisticated gown featured thick shoulder straps and a V-cut neckline.
In 2013, Holly – you guessed it – opted for a black floor-length frock with an asymmetric neckline. She added a touch of colour with a bright red lipstick and coordinating nails.
At the 2014 NTAs Holly rocked prom queen chic in a strapless silk dress, which featured a corset top and small train.
Holly missed the 2015 bash - watching it at home alongside her young son Chester – but was back with a bang in 2016.
Holly ditched the boring black gowns in favour of a stunning Suzanne Neville white number.
The gorgeous gown featured a halter-neck top, figure-flattering waistband and elegant train.
In 2016, Holly experimented with colour by wowing in a bubblegum pink long-sleeved gown by Samuel Dougal. She accessorised it with dazzling gems by Stephen Webster.
Holly, who is known for her glamorous and feminine dress sense often works with celebrity stylist Angie Smith.
Her signature hairstyle is perfectly polished waves worn loosely around her shoulders and she favours a natural but glam beauty look, with defined eyes and rosy lips.
This Morning fans often go crazy for copycat styles of what Holly has worn – and snap up her high street staples.
