This is who will pay for Meghan Markle’s wardrobe after the wedding… and who has become her style icon
MEGHAN Markle is just a matter of weeks away from becoming an official member of the royal family, but it seems she's already found her feet when it comes to royal fashion.
Having stepped out at many regal events already, Meghan reportedly turned to her soon to be sister-in-law Kate Middleton for advice on how to dress the part.
Despite being an actress, and therefore used to the limelight, being a royal brings with it a dress code to avoid public scrutiny.
Not only does the Duchess of Cambridge help out when it comes to dress code, when Meghan and Harry are married on May 19, her father-in-law Prince Charles will also get a say.
Funding from the Duchy of Cornwall estate, owned by Charles, will pay for every single piece in Meghan's wardrobe as she will technically come under his 'household budget'.
Many of Kate Middleton's outfits are also funded by the prince, so it's no surprise that Kate is offering hints about how Meghan should shop.
"Kate's not the sort of person to get offended if someone wears something she likes or one of her favourite designers."
She said: "We saw Meghan standing next to William and Harry in designers known and beloved by the Duchess of Cambridge, looking every inch the member of the royal family that one expects.
"By virtue of her new role in life she will have to make some style changes, and there is no one better equipped to guide her on that than Kate."
