Croc's collaborations with Balenciaga and Drew Barrymore have renewed interest in the divisive noughties rubber shoe of choice
WITHOUT a doubt crocs were once the marmite of the fashion world – either you considered them a crime against style or the cutest, comfiest shoes in all existence.
But whatever your thoughts may be on the distinctive foam shoes it looks like Crocs are set for a serious comeback this summer season.

According to a recent report conducted by eBay, there were 25,000 searches for Crocs on the online bidding site last month.
On top of the staggering number of searches, an astounding 15,000 pairs were also sold during this time which roughly equates to 20 pairs every hour.
If this wasn’t bonkers enough, the Daily Mail also found that the divisive noughties shoes were being searched every minute during this one month period.
The renewed interest in Crocs follows the Balenciaga collaboration which resulted in a spiky bedazzled pair with a 10cm platform retailing for a staggering £685.
Meanwhile, fashion designer Christopher Kane also unveiled a marble-effect collection of Crocs on his SS17 catwalk that were an instant sell-out despite raising eyebrows among the fashion elite.
Actress Drew Barrymore has even collaborated with the brand this year to release a collection of the foam “inspired by love”.
With interest Crocs this high, it’s certainly looking like fashion has come full circle this summer – celebrate while comfy shoes are still in style.
