People have noticed this very weird thing about Disney’s Cinderella and they’re freaking out
Cinderella was unveiled as one of the characters in the new Wreck-It Ralph movie, and looks strangely different
DISNEY has released new 3D versions of their famous princesses and fans have noticed something VERY odd indeed.
Cinderella was unveiled as one of the characters in the new Wreck-It Ralph movie, and looks bizarrely different thanks to one simple tweak in her appearance.
One fan took to Twitter to point out how unusual the blonde princess looks thanks to the addition of ears.
In her iconic blue ball gown, the cartoon Cinderella from the 1950 movie has her hair in a sweeping up-do with her ears completely covered by her blue headband.
User wrote: “There was something bothering me on Cinderella's 3d model.
“It's not that I don't like it but she somehow looked different and I didn't know why, I just realized it's because SHE NEVER HAD EARS IN THIS COSTUME.”
Her tweet, showing a side-by-side comparison of the new and old Cinderella characters, has racked up over 47,000 likes in just over 24 hours.
One user joked: “Well obviously, that was back when women didn’t have ears.”
Another said: “that's why she didn't stop when the prince was calling after her. SHE. COULDN'T. HEAR HIM.”
Meanwhile one commented: “Otherwise, she would've heard that glass slipper clonk on the stairs.”
Although her ears are concealed in the scene where she meets the prince at the ball, the cartoon Cinderella does have ears in other scenes.
When she is wearing her typical every-day outfit doing chores for her evil Stepmother and Stepsisters, her hair is slightly pulled back from her face.
The new 3D Cinderella will be featured in Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, which follows the 2012 original flick.
The Disney sequel will see Ralph and Vanellope meet a host of the princesses, including Cinderella, Elsa, Jasmine, Belle, Mulan, Rapunzel and Moana.
Vanellope will form a feminist bond with the gang and discuss how they don’t need “saving”.
In one scene, Rapunzel says: "Do people assume all your problems got solved because a big, strong man showed up?"
"Yes! What is up with that?" Vanellope replies.
