Thought up by the Instagram account, this experimental and time-consuming design has taken nail art that one step further.

But if you're interested in recreating the design at home, then the beauty account has also provided their 1.7 million followers with an in-depth tutorial.

You will need: plenty of nail polish, glue, straws, milk and the patience of a saint.

While you have to applaud the nail account for their creativity, Instagram users flooded the comments with questions regarding the design's practicality.

One wrote: "Why in the world? I wouldn't be able to be a functioning adult."

Another added: "Firstly, how do people have time for this? Secondly, why?!"

But among the thousands of people laughing at the bizarre design, others praised the account for being "super talented and creative".

The one practicality of this design? You'd ALWAYS have milk for a spontaneous cup of tea. Winning.
