Who is Nicholas van Cutsem?
Nicholas is a close friend of the royals, and has known both William and Harry their whole lives due to Prince Charles being friends with Nicholas' father since their days at Cambridge together.
He was recently named Prince Louis' godfather, despite a lot of speculation that Miguel Head, William's former private secretary would be given the title.
An international business developer, 40-year-old Nicholas is very wealthy and is based in London and he was formerly a major with the Household Cavalry’s Life Guards.
In 2011, Nicholas was cleared of assault after being accused of assaulting a soldier during an army exercise.

Nicholas is married to wife Alice Hadden-Paton and is father to Florence van Cutsem, who was one of Harry and Meghan's bridesmaids on May 19.
