That’s why we gathered 100 of our most dedicated readers to help us compile a shortlist – so they were selected by real women, for real women. Then we let YOU vote for the winners!

When Emily Weiss, editor of cool-girl beauty blog Into The Gloss, asked her colleagues to name their favourite cleanser, she was met with silence.
This got her thinking. People were desperate for a brand without the nonsense – products that did what they said on the tin.
Incorporating the knowledge she’d gleaned from the thousands of reader comments on her blog, she launched Glossier in 2014, quickly achieving cult status in the US, and brought the brand to the UK last year.
