Beyoncé ditched the make-up for her Vogue cover and people think she looks more beautiful than ever
BEYONCÉ'S iconic Vogue cover has just been debuted and fans are going wild for her stripped back, natural look.
The 36-year-old was given full creative control over the magazine's September issue - and Queen Bey certainly did an incredible job.
The images were shot by 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell - Vogue's first black cover photographer in its 126-year history.
The first cover image features make-up free Bey wearing a breathtaking floral headpiece, adorned with an colourful mix of roses and peonies.
The singer paired the bold display with a lacy, Victorian-esque white dress with ruffled sleeves and a high-neck collar.
In every image, Beyoncé has ditched the wigs and weaves, and instead wears her natural hair in braids - something she's been praised for by fans.
"I think it’s important for women and men to see and appreciate the beauty in their natural bodies," she says in the interview. "That’s why I stripped away the wigs and hair extensions and used little makeup for this shoot."
The Grammy award winner used her creative control to open up about her family life, too.
In a poignant personal essay, Bey spoke about her pregnancies, her health and learning to love her body.
"I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir," wrote the mum-of-three.
"I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month. My health and my babies’ health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section. We spent many weeks in the NICU."
"After the C-section, my core felt different," continued Bey.
"It had been major surgery. Some of your organs are shifted temporarily, and in rare cases, removed temporarily during delivery. I am not sure everyone understands that. I needed time to heal, to recover.
"During my recovery, I gave myself self-love and self-care, and I embraced being curvier. I accepted what my body wanted to be. After six months, I started preparing for Coachella.
"I became vegan temporarily, gave up coffee, alcohol, and all fruit drinks. But I was patient with myself and enjoyed my fuller curves. My kids and husband did, too."
The singer also opened up about the aftermath of her first pregnancy with six-year-old daughter Blue Ivy, revealing she put pressure on herself to snap back after giving birth.
"I put pressure on myself to lose all the baby weight in three months, and scheduled a small tour to assure I would do it," revealed Bey.
"Looking back, that was crazy. I was still breastfeeding when I performed the Revel shows in Atlantic City in 2012. After the twins, I approached things very differently."
Since the covers were revealed earlier today, fans have been taking to social media to gush about the star's honesty.
One touched user wrote: "...from the real hair to the natural body! she was so vulnerable & honest" while another praised Bey for her wisdom.
"I'm loving this candid Beyoncé," they wrote.
"Lots of wisdom and intimacy that I've always wanted more of from the Queen."
