The Duchess of Sussex could stay in LA for longer...and the reason why is so cute
RIGHT now, Meghan Markle is said to be having some well-deserved time off, visiting friends and family in the US.
One person who the Duchess of Sussex is expected to be catching up with is her mother, Doria Ragland - and there's a mega cute reason why the royal could be having an extended stay with her mum.
According to reports, Meghan boarded an Air Canada flight to Toronto over the weekend, and from there it's expected she'll also be making stops in both New York and Los Angeles.
While The Duchess of Sussex is rumoured to be visiting friends such as Jessica Mulroney and Serena Williams, it's highly likely that the 37-year-old will be staying with her mother, Doria - who lives in LA.
And we've got a feeling Meghan's visit to her mum's could be the last stop on her trip, as the American social worker and yoga instructor is reported to be celebrating her birthday at the start of next month.
Meghan is very close to Doria - and she reportedly hasn't seen her since her wedding to Prince Harry in May - so we imagine she'll want to celebrate with her mum, if she can.
While Doria's birthday is unconfirmed, according to Google, Meghan's mum will turn 62 on September 2.
Doria has always been a huge inspiration to the royal - and with all Meghan's dad drama - we imagine spending some quality time with her mum could be just what Meg needs.
In an essay written for , titled "The 10 Women Who Changed My Life", Meghan gushed about her mother, admitting she finds "solace in her support".
"My mom's a yoga instructor, but she does social work as well, and she works specifically with the geriatric community," Meghan explained.
"For me to watch this level of life-long sensitivity to nurturing and caregiving, but at the same time my mom has always been a free spirit.
"She's got dread locks and a nose ring. She just ran the LA Marathon.
"We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I'll still find so much solace in her support.
"That duality coexists the same way it would in a best friend."
