River Island launches 12-piece mum and daughter range designed by Harry Styles’ BFF Lou Teasdale
If you've ever dreamed of matching with your children, look no further
RIVER Island has just launched a mother-daughter range for anyone who ever dreamed of matching their outfits with their kids.
The new 12-piece collection has been designed by Lou Teasdale, former hairdresser to One Direction and BFF of Harry Styles and mummy blogger, Emi Ozmen.
And the inspiration for the collection's name comes from the two women's own children's naames, Silver and Lux, used to create
Announcing the new line, the brand said “it’s time to get matchy-matchy in more ways than one”, as the two families proudly modelled their creations.
The range features a slogan T shirt, saying ‘I make the rules’ to ‘I break the rules’, 70s-inspired floral prints and denim two-pieces.
Launching the range online, the mums said: “We wanted to design a twinning collection that wasn’t cheesy to wear.
“It’s our guilty pleasure twinning with the girls but it’s hard to find cool or vintage styles.
“We have always loved vintage clothing so we’ve taken a lot of the patterns and colours from the 70s.
“We needed things that worked for both us and the kids and very much wanted the girls to be “mini us’s”, not us as giant kids obviously.”
And when asked who Lou would love to see wearing the collection, her answer?
"Kate Middleton and Charlotte", naturally.
Prices start at £8 for a mini T-shirt, and go up to £55 for a cropped denim jacket.
