The 14-year-old book includes images of Trinny and Susannah providing advice on 'wrong' or 'right' outfits to wear

BACK in the noughties, it was all about style gurus Trinny and Susannah and their What Not To Wear show and guides.

The 14-year-old book includes images of Trinny, now 54, and Susannah, 56, providing advice on “wrong” or “right” outfits to wear.

Some fans have been left “howling” at the dated looks, which include instructing followers to wear dresses over jeans for the perfect interview look.

And for an evening summer outfit, the fashion pair said readers should “take off knickers”.

The incredible book pages were uploaded to Twitter by a guy who said he was “obsessed” with the recommendations.

He included an example of a young Trinny wearing a blue, floral dress over a pair of bootcut jeans, which she has paired with a pair of stilettoes and a handbag with a sleeping cat on it.

The image was included in the What Not to Wear book with the advice: “Dress over trousers looks modern but still smart enough for an interview.

He also shared another outfit from the guide, which tells readers what to wear to the beach.

Trinny can be seen in a straw hat, baggy orange board shorts, an Adidas bikini top and some swim shoes.

The book says: “Low-waisted, flat-fronted longer shorts are the most flattering shape to wear. Team with a bikini top. Slip-on trainers are comfortable and flattering to the floot.

“Straw hat is simple but effective.”

Other Twitter users who had copies of the book were quick to upload their own personal favourite looks to the social media site.

One image showed Susannah in a long, ankle-length brown skirt for a summer evening look.

Trinny and Susannah wrote: “Change bra to one that emphasises cleavage and makes top look sexier. Add big antique earrings and tuck hair back to show them off.

“Take off knickers”.

Another image shows Susannah in a summer wedding outfit, with the caption: “Shoes are sexy but give enough support for walking so you don’t look a complete dork.”

Fans were left in hysterics at the book, and chimed in with their views on the noughties looks.
