Kate Middleton ‘thrilled’ as younger sister Pippa gives birth to baby boy in the Lindo Wing
IT'S been a huge week for the Royal Family - Princess Eugenie got married and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they're expecting their first child.
Now Kate Middleton has become an aunt, after her younger sister Pippa gave birth to a baby boy.
Pippa, 35, welcomed her son at the £7,500-a-night Lindo Wing maternity unit yesterday, the same day Meghan and Harry announced their baby news.
The little boy - whose father is Pippa's financier husband James Matthews - was born weighing .
As expected, Kate, 36, is delighted.
Kensington Palace confirmed the happy news, saying in a short statement: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are thrilled for Pippa and James."
Pippa was said to have been joined at the private hospital for the birth by husband James.
He was pictured carrying two overnight bags as they entered the wing - a £78 Cam Cam Copenhagen baby changing bag and another holdall.
Eyewitnesses said heavily pregnant Pippa was smiling as she walked through the doors.
The Lindo Wing is very familiar to Kate, as she gave birth to all three of her children there.
The Duchess posed on the steps of the ward with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, shortly after each of their arrivals.
With Louis only being born in April, he's actually a similar age to his newborn cousin.
We bet Kate and Pippa can't wait to see them grow up together.
