MUM'S THE WORD

Holly Willoughby reveals her secret to balancing work and being a mum

The busy TV presenter is mum to Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin

AS SHE prepares to add yet another string to her bow presenting I'm A Celebrity, some might wonder how Holly Willoughby ever finds time to unwind with her family.

The 37-year-old, who's mum to Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with her TV producer husband Dan Baldwin, recently quit her lifestyle brand Truly just weeks before it launched to focus on "family time".

But she then went onto secure a six-figure deal for the Aussie reality show, which means flying her whole family Down Under to stand in for Ant McPartlin.

"It's not easy and there is no perfect recipe", "I think that I'm really lucky that I can sort of pull back when things feel too much so I know that I'm very blessed for that reason."

And she revealed her one trick for making sure work doesn't interfere with her family life, joking that it "probably drive(s) everyone completely mad".

Holly said: "I'm quite strict with myself so when I'm at work, they are my work hours and I get a lot achieved in a small amount of time, like 'go go go, get it done, get it done' and then it's like 'bang home time - bye everyone!' and then the phone goes off and everything shuts down and I'm a mum.

"I'm really strict, to the point where I probably drive everyone completely mad, but that's the way it has to be otherwise you don’t have a work/life balance."

She added: "That's the one thing I won’t compromise on, having any regrets when it comes to the kids."

Holly has added an estimated £1.5 million to her existing £11 million fortune this year.

She works four mornings a week on This Morning, raking in £600,000 after demanding a £200,000 pay rise to bring her in line with Philip Schofield, and films Celebrity Juice on Wednesday nights, earning a further £150,000.
