GINGER Spice has blown the minds of Spice Girls fans everywhere after revealing the iconic lyric that everyone has been singing wrong for the past decade.

Geri Horner's bombshell nearly got lost amid the excitement over the recently reunited (well, almost) band’s tour announcement.

But now that the dust has settled, it’s time to refocus.

Earlier this week, Geri shared the video of herself, Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Melanie Chisholm (Sporting Spice) revealing their big news, and added a little homage to one of their most popular songs, Spice Up Your Life.

Alongside the clip, she tweeted: “Hai si ja hold tight!”

Excuse me, WHAT?

Let’s face it, most of us have been singing some variation of “Ha, see ya, hold tight” since the hit track was first released in 1997.

The words “hai”, “si” and “ja” are the Japanese, Spanish and German words for “yes” — so the Spice Girls are basically saying “yes, yes, yes, hold tight!”

Mind blown.

Several stunned fans took to Twitter to discuss this staggering revelation.

One tweeted: "I was today years old when I found out the lyrics weren't 'ha see ya, hold tight'. I get it now, yes in different languages. Genius."

Another called it the "best Spice Girls lyric update ever".

Earlier this week, the Spice Girls sent fans wild over the announcement of their long-awaited tour – though Posh Spice Victoria Beckham won’t be joining them.

The star has denied that she will have any role in the reunion - despite what Mel B claimed during an interview yesterday on Heart Radio.

There are six shows scheduled for Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol and London – the girls' first concerts since 2007 and 2008.

Mel B hinted on Loose Women that she and her fellow bandmates would like to expand their performances.

Asked if she’d like the band to go on a world tour, she responded: “We are. The hopes are that we go everywhere else in the world, but right now it’s just the UK.”

Geri, Emma and the two Mels are expected to pocket at least £8million each from the gigs - should they all sell out.

Victoria will pocket a few million, too, even though she'll be busy running her fashion empire while her former bandmates belt out the classics.

It's all because she owns an equal stake in the band's brand.

The star, who is married to former football pro David Beckham, is mum to 19-year-old Brooklyn, 16-year-old Romeo, 13-year-old Cruz, and seven-year-old Harper.

Tickets will go on sale in the coming days, with Jess Glynne confirmed as their support act.
