My £1,900 designer vagina has transformed my sex life and made me feel 15 years younger in the bedroom
A MUM splashed £1,900 on a “designer vagina” to help her incontinence – and says it’s boosted her sex life and made her feel 15 years younger.
Inspired by model Danielle Lloyd who revealed she'd had the procedure, 56-year-old Abby Short underwent the tightening treatment over three lunchtime sessions lasting just five minutes each.
A fan of anti-ageing procedures, Abby, from Billericay, Essex, had spent years carrying spare knickers everywhere due to her incontinence and thought it was time she took care of the rest of her body.
Now the events planner says she feels like she is back in her 40s when she and her company director husband John, 62, make love, adding: “I feel younger, like I’m back in my heyday.”
Abby’s incontinence issues began after the birth of her son Josh, now 15, leaving her desperate to solve the embarrassing problem.
Before the Femilift vaginal rejuvenation treatment – which gently heats the vaginal tissue contracting existing fibres and stimulating the formation of new collagen – she suffered with embarrassing leaks everywhere from the office to during exercise classes.
Already spending £2,000 a year on Botox, non-surgical facelifts and teeth-whitening, when she heard Danielle Lloyd talking on TV about having the treatment to combat her own incontinence issues, it seemed like the logical next step for her too.
“If I sneezed, coughed a little too energetically or did any kind of real physical exercise it would mean an embarrassing leak,” Abby recalled.
“It wasn’t all the time, but would come on randomly and would be really embarrassing as a result.
“I’d be in the office, having a laugh and a bit of wee would come out. Not only was it embarrassing, but it wasn’t very hygienic either.”
Before taking the plunge, Abby researched the treatment, discovering that the procedure involved using a pixel Co2 laser to improve blood flow, increase lubrication and restore the strength and elasticity of the vaginal wall.

Confident it was the right solution for her, she contacted Courthouse Clinics, the company where she already went for Botox, having the first of three sessions in London on June 29 this year.
Abby, also mum to Daniel, 24, from a previous relationship, noticed a difference straight away.
“You have to position yourself at the edge of the couch and spread your legs for the laser to be inserted, a bit like having a smear test, only warmer,” she explained.
What is a designer vagina?
Labiaplasty reduces the size of the labia minora – the flaps of skin either side of the vaginal opening.
Vaginoplasty is designed to reduce the size of the actual vagina (as in the vaginal hole) usually to make it tighter.
The procedures can be carried out with either a local or general anaesthetic and can take around two hours, with some patients being able to go home on the same day.
If you don't fancy going under the knife there is the option of a non-surgical vagina facelift.
There are plenty of celebrities who have undergone the surgery and who are considering the procedure.
Depending on where you go you can pay between £1,000 and £3,000 for the procedure plus the price of any consultations or follow up appointments.
For the non-surgical vagina facelift prices are around £499 per session, with many people opting for more than one visit.
“My doctor said I wouldn’t feel results immediately, but I actually did, I didn’t feel the pressure to go to the loo as often and when I did run up and down the beach on my holiday straight after, the effects weren’t nearly as bad.
“It doesn’t make it look any different, but it is more about the inside and improving the function, which it has done.”
Having another session at the London clinic before her third treatment in October, Abby also discovered it had another unexpected benefit - when she and her husband made love.
Women should be doing daily pelvic floor exercises to boost their sex life...
Pelvic floor exercises strengthen the muscles around the bladder, vagina or penis and back passage.
Also known as kegels, the exercises can help prevent urinary incontinence, treat prolapse and even make sex better by increasing sensitivity and boosting orgasms in women.
To find your pelvic floor muscles, try stopping the flow of urine when you go to the toilet. Just don't do it midstream, as this can be harmful to the bladder.
To strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, sit and squeeze and release 10-15 times in a row.
Don't hold your breath or tighten your tummy, bum or thigh muscles at the same time.
When you get used to the exercises, you can hold the squeezes for a few seconds - and do more reps.
If you are pregnant or planning to have a baby, you should be doing pelvic floor exercises because pregnancy and childbirth put a great strain on these muscles.
