Shoe brands

Yes, really - the next wave of tots could indeed be named after your favourite pair of trainers.

Don't worry, BabyCenter isn't suggesting you name your baby Nike Air Max 270, Hurache Ultra or Balenciaga Triple S - that would be silly.

Instead, take inspiration from limited edition collections and break up the names, there are actually some pretty cute ones.

Chuck, Taylor, Van, Stan, Smith, Fila, Puma are all quite cute baby names.

And Diadora, Luna, and Jordan all work as well.

And whatever the duo choose to name their firstborn will undoubtedly have a colossal effect on 2019's baby names.

Gender swapping

Swapping names with genders - such as naming a girl Max, Tyler or Ryan is gaining in popularity.

Stevie and Drew are also on the rise, after Stevie Nicks and Drew Barrymore.

Ashley, Tracy and Kelsey are set to be popular names for boys, too.
