MEGHAN Markle celebrated her newfound fame by throwing a party "to get rid of her cheap clothes" and make space for new designer threads, according to US reports.
The Duchess of Sussex - who was recently named among Vogue's list of best-dressed stars for 2018 - reportedly wanted to overhaul her image as she became increasingly famous for her acting work.
According to , Meghan was well aware that her "star was rising" after being cast as paralegal Rachel Zane in Suits in 2011 and was keen to reinvent herself - along her wardrobe.
A source told the magazine that the Hollywood actress hosted a party at her home as a means of getting rid of her cheap clothes to clear space for pricier threads.
Describing how the event was "unofficially billed as a 'Sayonara Zara' party", Meghan gave away the "lower-priced clothes" to her each of her guests.
And following the mega wardrobe clear-out, the Suits actress then enlisted the help of best-friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney to fine-tune the enviable wardrobe full of Givenchy and Oscar de la Renta gowns we know today.

Earlier this week, Meghan wore an outfit worth £140,000 as she joined the Royal Family for the Queen's annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace in comparison to Kate Middleton's £305 silk dress.
