Kate Middleton feels ‘threatened’ by ‘gorgeous Hollywood star’ Meghan Markle, claims royal commentator

KATE MIDDLETON feels "threatened" by "gorgeous Hollywood star" Meghan Markle, according to a royal commentator.

Appearing on Channel 5's Kate V Meghan: Princesses at War, royal broadcaster and journalist Carole Malone says Kate Middleton has been left feeling "put out" since Meghan Markle married into the Royal Family.

Used to having the media spotlight all to herself, the royal expert said: "Kate would very definitely be threatened by Meghan's presence and her appearance on the royal scene."

Considering how Kate "had been the young gorgeous girl that everyone had been photographing" since she first started dating Prince William, the expert described how she "might be a little put out when this gorgeous, American Hollywood star arrived on the scene."

Labelling the two women "very different characters", Carole then described Kate as "the quintessential English rose" who "went to private schools" and was "never an outspoken feminist in the way Meghan is."

In contrast, the royal commentator refers to Meghan as "a driven girl" who "came from a totally different kind of family."

Describing Meghan's upbringing, Carole said: "It was dysfunctional, her parents were divorced and Meghan had to strive for everything that she got."

These latest claims follow recent rumours of a growing rift between the two sisters-in-law.

Last year, The Sun exclusively revealed that Meghan Markle had "left Kate Middleton in tears" over her strict demands for Princess Charlotte's bridesmaid's dress.

Meanwhile, Meghan Markle was branded "Duchess Difficult" by Palace insiders who had grown tired of the former Suits actress' 5am emails.

However, Kate and Meghan attempted to silence rumours of a rift by putting on a friendly display as they arrived for Church on Christmas Day.
