Meghan Markle’s Suits bosses offered $5 million by beauty brand for a 5-second Duchess cameo
EARLIER this week, rumours emerged that Meghan Markle could be returning to Suits for one last time.
Sources claimed NBC Universal would pay a million dollar donation to a charity of her choice - but then reports indicated that this wasn't the case.
Now cosmetics company is offering NBC a whopping $5 million for a five-second appearance by the Duchess of Sussex.
In return, the brand is asking Meghan to use its skin gel - which claims to reduce wrinkles in under 60 minutes - for five seconds as an on-screen product placement.
The money would be donated to charitable organisation , which Meghan has previously supported.
Writing about the charity on her lifestyle site The Tig, Meghan previously said: "When I was asked to be a Counsellor at One Young World my response was a resounding 'yes.'
"One Young World invites young adults from all over the world who are actively working to transform the socio-political landscape by being the greater good.
"They are delegates who are speaking out against human rights violations, environmental crises, gender equality issues, discrimination and injustice. They are the change."
first reported that NBC was planning a two-minute Suits cameo, with the potential for Meghan's pregnancy to be written into the script.
It was thought that returning with a baby bump could be a great fit for her character Rachel Zane.
In Meghan's last episode, viewers saw Rachel marry law firm partner Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who left the show at the same time.
The source said: "We could create a storyline where Rachel and Mike have created new lives for themselves and are starting a family, with Rachel showing an obvious baby bump.
"It would give one or several charities a big boost, portray Meghan as a thoroughly modern royal… and give us one of the biggest ratings blockbusters of our existence."
However, according to a source speaking to , there are "no plans" for Meghan to return.
