Pregnant Meghan Markle will get a ‘good luck’ henna tattoo on her hand during Morocco visit

A henna is said to bless and protect pregnant women and their unborn baby

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry's three-day Morocco trip, which begins on Saturday, will see her tattooed with henna, which locals deem as a good luck symbol.

The Duchess of Sussex, who is around 32 weeks pregnant, is likely to have the mark on her hand and it's perfectly safe for expectant woman as it is made from the henna tree.

Following her whirlwind trip to New York for an A-list baby shower, Meghan will fly home to the UK today before her and Harry jet to Casablanca on the weekend.

On arrival the British Ambassador Thomas Reilly will welcome them before they inspect a Guard of Honour.

The next day will see them visit three schools in mountain town Asni.

Meghan will have a traditional henna ceremony at one but she won't be the first royal to have the special treatment.

Sister in law, Kate also treated got a henna tattoo when she visited music and arts hub, The Fire Station in Sunderland last year.

Many countries including Morocco and India have traditions of applying henna during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Henna is believed to protect and bless the mother and child from any evil or malicious spirits that may be near during delivery.

Meghan and Harry's baby is due in April but they have kept the sex as a surprise.

Following Meghan's henna ceremony, the couple will then be at an evening reception with then envoy in the capital Rabat.

There they will meet influential women, young tycoons and disabled athletes.

On Monday they will see special needs kids at a riding school, visit a cookery school for underprivileged children and meet young entrepreneurs before flying back to London.
