Kate Middleton misses Meghan Markle’s baby shower as she jets off on secret skiing holiday with Prince William

MUM-TO-BE Meghan Markle looked a picture of happiness at her not-so-secret baby shower this week - but there was one notable face missing.

The Duchess of Sussex, 37, now seven months pregnant, flew from London to the US last Friday for five nights of shopping and pampering.

Her pals were spotted arriving for her baby shower with blue gifts, prompting speculation Megs is expecting a boy - though a large delivery of pale pink roses followed.

But her sister-in-law Kate Middleton, 37, was visibly absent from the celebrations in New York, which boasted a star-studded guest list of Meghan's closest pals.

It appears Kate decided to give the baby shower a miss in favour of spending the half term break with her brood.

She and Wills, 36, blocked out their diaries to ensure they spent quality time with their children, who are off school this week.

According to a royal source, the Cambridges have jetted off on a secret snow-filled holiday for some much-needed family time together.

In 2016, William and Kate took Prince George and his sister Charlotte to the glitzy ski resort of Courchevel in the Troi Vallees in France, sharing adorable snaps of the foursome enjoying the snow.

And with today's conditions forecast reporting "packed powder" on the slopes, the family may have made a beeline for their favourite piste.

It would be a very different ski trip to William's last one in 2017, during which he was caught cavorting on a Swiss club dance floor with two beauties.

Meanwhile Meghan takes her final flights this weekend before the birth of baby Sussex in April.

She and Harry will visit Morocco for a two-day visit on behalf of the British government.

A Palace spokesman said of the trip: “The Duke and Duchess are looking forward to the visit which will highlight the vital roles that girls’ education and youth empowerment are playing in, and shaping, modern Morocco.”

In the meantime, Meghan is enjoying partying with pals Jessica Mulroney and Serena Williams in the Big Apple.
