Betfair has revealed that the odds on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex having a girl have been slashed from 10/11 to 1/2.

Betfair spokesperson Katie Baylis told : "Following a significant bet this afternoon (Tuesday) we've slashed the odds of the royal baby being a girl from 10/11 to 1/2 , with a boy now out to 6/4.

“This bet is one of the biggest we've seen on the royal baby markets this year so could be a big clue that we will have a new Princess in the coming weeks."

Pregnant Meg previously sparked rumours that she is expecting a girl following her lavish baby shower in New York last month.

A video shared on social media which showed the inside of the shower revealed an almost entirely pink colour scheme prompting fans to believe a princess is on the way.

And it seems that the mum-to-be would be delighted to welcome a girl after she reportedly told psychic Richard Winn whom she is thought to have had $500 readings with in LA before meeting Prince Harry.

Richard exclusively revealed to the The Sun on Sunday that Meghan is hoping for a girl.

While many have ventured a guess at the baby’s gender it is thought that Meghan and Prince Harry will wait until after the baby is born before finding out the sex, as most royals have done.

In March 2019, it was revealed that Meghan and Harry have opted for a gender-neutral grey paint for their baby nursery at their new home of Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan, 37, is also installing childproof windows and a £50,000 eco boiler as part of the £3million renovations to the Grade II listed property in the Queen's Windsor estate, a source told Fabulous Digital.

She has enlisted the help of top design director Vicky Charles - who's responsible for the pristine interiors at fashionable members club Soho Farmhouse, where the mum-to-be held her three-day hen do.

Meghan’s thought to have opted for a monochrome palette of whites and greys.
