Of course, different hotels tend to have different procedures, so it's always best to check before you sneak anything into your bag.

Speaking to , The Setai Miami Beach explained it only allows guests to take toiletries and slippers while South Place Hotel - which caters for frequent flying business people - actively encourages guests to take away their flight-friendly toiletries.

If you do take something you're not supposed to, expect a phone call and potentially a charge on your card, too.
