Sincere Kate Middleton wears green and anxious Victoria Beckham wears red, here’s what celebrities’ colour choices say about their personalities
Celebs are creatures of habit just like the rest of us and are regularly seen in the same colour palettes
IF you get stuck in a style rut, you are not the only one.
Celebs are creatures of habit, too. They might think they have a varied wardrobe but we have recently seen many return to the same colour palette.
Ever noticed Victoria Beckham is repeatedly wearing red?
Or that the Duchess of Cambridge often opts for green.
Subconsciously, the shade you tend to opt for most says a lot about your personality.
CLEMMIE FIELDSEND asked the “Colour Counsellor”, Jules Standish, what we can tell from celeb colour tribes.
Kate Middleton: Green
THE Duchess of Cambridge, 37, makes others green with envy with her great style, tiaras and bouncy blow-dries.
And her love for grassy-greens has the world lusting after her wardrobe, too.
Jules says: “Kate has generosity of spirit with a natural friendliness and sincerity, enjoying giving service to others, with a strong humanitarian leaning.
“She strives for balance in life and has an honest, open approach to people. Kate enjoys healthy debate and can see all sides of an argument. She is good at solving problems, with a clear and straightforward approach.”
Holly Willoughby: Blue
DAILY appearances on TV mean Holly, 38, is constantly sporting new outfits.
Although her wardrobe varies, the This Morning co-host gravitates towards blue, as her Marks & Spencer denim collection shows. Jules says: “Holly shows an independent spirit. She is trustworthy, loyal and a great communicator, with a quiet confidence about her abilities.
“She is also a dependable friend whom people can call upon for advice – the perfect co-host for Phillip Schofield.”
Victoria Beckham: Red
ONCE famous for wearing LBDs, the singer-turned-designer has ditched the trademark dark clobber for bold reds. Victoria, 44, is no wallflower – but she could be anxious behind closed doors.
Jules says: “Naturally energetic and motivated, Victoria likes to draw attention to herself. She is determined to achieve her goals and acts decisively, with passion and dynamism.
“But a negative of wearing red is that you feel you can’t slow down, which can make you feel angry or anxious.”
“That could be true of Posh as she tries to keep tabs of her family – especially after news of hubby David’s new-found friendship with supermodel Helena Christensen hit the headlines.”
Rita Ora: Pink
The singer is something of a style chameleon but her daring wardrobe reveals a love of pink.
The 28-year-old appears feisty and confident when performing in public but her penchant for pink suggests she relies on others for reassurance.
Jules says: “Rita is kind, generous and likes to please others. With a romantic and sensitive nature, she is creative and has artistic flair.
“Rita likes to promote her fun personality and self-expression through pink but this hue can also mean she is dependent on others’ support.”

Kate Moss: Black
A MODEL in black is nothing new but no one wears it more than Kate, 45. She is fiercely protective of her privacy and that is reflected in a wardrobe which gives nothing away.
Jules says: “Kate likes to lead in the fashion stakes and wearing black projects this image in a powerful way.
“She is strong-willed, likes to be in charge of situations and seen as totally in control, without letting others know what she is thinking. Black is easy to ‘hide’ in and makes her mysterious while being accepted.”
