Meghan Markle is so fashionable and ‘un-dowdy’ she has forced Kate Middleton to up her style game, celebrity stylist claims

Meghan Markle has still been wearing stilettos, even in her third trimester

MEGHAN Markle is so fashionable - even during pregnancy - that she’s forced Kate Middleton to rethink her wardrobe, a stylist claims.

Despite the Duchess of Sussex being heavily pregnant, she’s still wearing skyscraper heels and designer outfits, rather than flats and maternity wear.

Celebrity stylist, Lucas Armitage, claims her status as a style icon has forced Kate to rethink her own wardrobe.

Lately the Duchess of Cambridge has been wearing pricey outfits which ooze glamour, a change from her practical, yet stylish, wardrobe.

Speaking to , Lucas said: “Meghan has cemented herself a place as the leading stylish member of the Royal family, and rumours are circulating she has forced Kate to up her style game.

“Whilst the public love Kate for her sometimes thrifty reusing of wardrobe staples and her love of mid-range brands it’s interesting Meghan shuns them all-together.”

Meghan is expecting her first child with Prince Harry in the coming weeks, but she’s avoided maternity clothes and instead favoured bespoke, designer outfits.

The 37-year-old doesn’t seem to have forgotten her Hollywood roots, dripping in designer clothes and jewellery when stepping out for royal engagements, even during her third trimester.

The former actress rarely wore any maternity outfits throughout her pregnancy, instead getting pieces customised to fit her growing bump.

And when Meghan did decide to wear a piece from a bump-friendly range, it was always at the pricier end, and she was almost never seen without her heels.

Her expensive taste in clothing has seen her maternity wardrobe cost around half a million pounds, nearly impossible to copy for the average person.

claimed she may have avoided maternity clothing for fear of looking “frumpy” or “dowdy”.

Lucas added: “Whilst we hardly expected her to be making a trolley dash round mamas and papas for her maternity threads, it would have been great to see some affordable and attainable pieces in her maternity wardrobe.”

One piece which Meghan wore from the high street was a £25 beige dress from H&M’s Mama range, which was so popular it’s still sold out on their website.

Kensington Palace declined to comment when approached by Fabulous.

To help her update her wardrobe, it’s claimed Kate Middleton has hired a former Vogue editor.
